German defense company Rheinmetall will supply Ukraine with a new-generation Luna unmanned aircraft system by the end of the year, according to sources quoted by Bild am Sonntag on Sunday, APA reports.
According to the report, the delivery will include ground control stations, multiple drones, a launch catapult, and military trucks. The drone system can potentially be used for various purposes, including reconnaissance, interception, or communications interference.
The delivery of the new-generation Luna drone system to Ukraine underscores the country's urgent efforts to bolster its defense capabilities in response to continued Russian aggression.
