Polish President Andrzej Duda introduced an embargo on Russian coal on Friday and signed a law allowing the country to freeze assets of businesses that support Russia, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The new law will deprive individuals of using their funds and will exclude them from government tenders. Also, it will restrict them from entering Poland until further notice.
The decision comes two days after the Polish president visited Kiev along with his counterparts from neighboring eastern European countries. In March, the government of Poland adopted a draft to halt imports of Russian coal.
