A Su-25 fighter jet has crashed in Georgia, APA reports citing Info Rustavi.
It was reported that the incident occurred in the direction of the Disveli village of Bolnisi. A representative of the Disveli village mayor's office confirmed the incident.
The Georgian Defense Ministry has released a statement regarding the aviation incident that occurred in the eastern part of the country.
The Ministry noted that a military Su-25 fighter jet belonging to the Armed Forces has crashed.
As a result, military pilot Kakhaber Zurabishvili was killed.
The Ministry's official statement also noted that investigations into the causes of the incident are currently underway on-site.
