“Permission will not be granted for the use of Türkiye’s air, land, and sea domains in military operations," Directorate of Communications of the Turkish Presidential Administration said in a statement, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
The statement noted that claims circulating on certain social media platforms alleging that Türkiye supported the recent attacks against Iran are completely unfounded and constitute disinformation aimed at misleading the public.
“The Republic of Türkiye does not make any of its air, land, or naval forces — including its airspace — available for operational purposes in any conflict or war to which it is not a party, in favor of any side. This matter is among the fundamental principles of our country’s foreign policy and security strategy.
Türkiye’s sovereign rights over its air, land, and maritime domains are full and indisputable. All activities related to our sovereign territories are carried out solely on the basis of the Republic of Türkiye’s national security assessments and under the supervision and administration of the competent authorities,” the statement said.
