The number of the foreign tourists visiting Georgia increased by 13% reaching 1 896 104 people in II Q of this year, APA’s local bureau reports quoting the quarterly report of the Georgian National Tourism Agency.
It was noted in the document that 76,5% of the visits had been made from the neighboring countries. 72,3% of the visits had been made by (1 345 415) automobile, 26,6% (526 614) by airways, 0,7% (14 600) railway and 0,5% (9 475) by the seaway.
Tourists have spent 362 million laris (app. $123M) for tourism services in the reporting period.
