According to unistablished reports, Georgia`s former Justice Minister Mr. Zurab Adeishvili has been granted a political asylum by the Belgian government and provided with accommodation in the country.
The Front News reports, the foreign minister has also received guarantees that he will not be extradited to Georgian even if any accusation brought against him is proved.
Georgia`s former Justice Minister Mr. Zurab Adeishvili has been remanded in custody in absentia.
The former minister`s lawyer said the Tbilisi City Court has satisfied the mediation of the Prosecutor’s Office and Zurab Adeishvili was remanded in custody in absentia.
The Prosecutor’s Office appealed to the Tbilisi City Court with regard to remanding Zurab Adeishvili in custody today.
The prosecutor`s office also demands to suspend the former` minister`s diplomatic and citizenship passports.
Charges were filed against Zurab Adeishvili in connection with the scandalous videos depicting inhuman treatment to prisoner before the parliamentary elections in Georgia.
