Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday that Moscow wants the conflict in Ukraine to end "as soon as possible," APA reports citing Teletrader.
Lavrov made the remarks amid a visit to Brazil where he met with the country's Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira. Vieira noted he and Lavrov discussed the situation in Ukraine and stressed that Brazil wants to form a group of countries that would focus on negotiating a ceasefire in Ukraine.
During his trip to Latin America, Lavrov is also set to visit Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
