Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in his Wall Street Journal op-ed argued that it is in the best interest of the Kremlin to end its military operation in Ukraine "as soon as possible," noting that a "land-for-peace deal" will never be achieved, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"Since the war can end only one way, the question is how fast we get to the inevitable conclusion," Johnson said, arguing that the longer the conflict continues "the longer the global economic hemorrhage will continue as well."

Johnson went on to yet again call on his country's allies to provide more support for Ukraine and help Kiev achieve its "military objectives, or at least to kick the Russians out of all the territories invaded this year."
