Greece violates Turkish airspace several times

On April 26-28 2022, the Greek Air Force repeatedly violated Turkish airspace in Didim, Datca and Dalamanda and carried out provocative flights near the shores of the country, said the spokesman of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tanju Bilgic, APA’s Turkiye bureau reports.

He noted that statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece regarding the incidents that occurred between the air forces of both countries on April 27, 2022, in the Aegean Sea do not reflect reality.

"Our Air Forces responded to these provocative flights and violations in accordance with the rules of war. Although Greece is a party that started and increased the tension, accusing our country of baseless accusations is incompatible with the recent positive agenda and good neighborly relations between the two countries. We expect the Greek side to put an end to provocative actions and rhetoric and sincerely support the process of Confidence Building measures launched both bilaterally and within NATO to prevent a recurrence of such incidents," noted in the statement.
