Greece is preparing to extend its maritime borders on the Crete island from 6 miles to 12 miles, says Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He highlighted that his country will never accept this step.
Minister Akar also rejected the words of Greek politicians that "Türkiye is a threat to Greece".
"As Türkiye, we did not threaten anyone. We never threatened Greece. Türkiye is a strong, reliable, and effective ally. We want a strong Türkiye, a strong NATO, a strong alliance," the minister stressed.
