“We always pay attention on ensuring that the war in Ukraine does not turn into a conflict between Russia and NATO, which could have disastrous consequences", German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with Anadolu Agency, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He noted that Russia wants to annex part or all of Ukraine to its territory through force, but this is not possible. The Chancellor emphasized that this is precisely why his country must support Ukraine: "I am making great efforts to use all diplomatic means. I have also spoken to the President of Russia."
