Georgian government will allocate 600 thousand GEL to the country’s Muslim community for compensating material and moral damage during the USSR period, Georgian State Agency on Religious Affairs told local press, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.
It was noted that the government will allocate in a total of 1 mln. lari to the country’s religious community. 600 thousand lari from this fund will be allocated to the Muslim community, 200 thousand lari to the Armenian Apostolic Church, and 100,000 lari will be allocated to each of the Jewish and Catholic communities.
