Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels, APA's local bureau reports citing the Georgian Defense Ministry.
According to the information, during the meeting held within the meeting of NATO defense ministers, the sides discussed common security challenges and threats posed by Russia.
Burchuladze stressed the importance of NATO's greater involvement in the region amid growing security challenges.
The meeting discussed prospects for deepening NATO-Georgia cooperation and reforms carried out by the Georgian Interior Ministry to comply with NATO standards.
The talks also focused on the third NATO-Georgia joint international military exercises to be held in the spring.
