"5 million tons of 17 million tons of Ukrainian grain sent to world markets through the grain corridor were delivered to African countries in the south of the Sahara desert," said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the press conference within the framework of his visit in Russia, APA's Istanbul bureau reports.
He noted that to date, more than 60 percent of the grain sent by ship in Ukrainian ports has been sent to low- and middle-income countries.
According to minister Cavusoglu, these factors reduced grain prices in the world markets by 8 percent.
