UK Foreign Office has updated its travel advice for countries bordering Iran amid ongoing tensions in the region.
The updated advice applies to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan and Türkiye, APA reports.
The official statement said that restrictions may be imposed on foreign nationals at Iran's borders with neighboring countries and border crossings may be closed at short notice.
Those in Iran and planning to leave the country via the land border are advised to check the current travel advice for the country they are entering, including visa requirements, before heading to the border.
It was noted that travel advice is updated regularly in accordance with the risk assessment for UK citizens.
