The members of the Georgian Parliament whose candidacies were proposed for the vacant positions of the Georgian Parliament were approved at the today’s plenary session of the Parliament, local bureau of APA reports.
In the session boycotted by the oppositional parties, Gia Volski was elected to the position of the first vice-speaker, and Mamuka Mdinaradze, Giorgi Kakhiani and Kakha Kuchava were elected to the position of speakers. And Irakli Beyara was charged with the position of chairman of the Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee.
Note that the session was held against the background of the protest action conducted in front of the Parliament building.
