Following the seismic event in the city of Malatya, Türkiye, a total of 23 individuals have sustained injuries, Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca said, APA reports.
"In accordance with the latest information, following the earthquake, 22 individuals in Malatya and 1 person in Adıyaman were injured due to collapsing structures after being trapped under debris," F.Koca stated on their "X" (Twitter) account.
He further added that over 20 emergency medical vehicles have been dispatched to the area, and the treatment of those admitted to the hospital is ongoing.

In the aftermath of a 5.3 magnitude earthquake that struck the province of Malatya in Türkiye, an abandoned building has crumbled under the force of the seismic event, said Malatya Governor Hulusi Şahin, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He emphasized that several individuals have been injured, but there have been no other significant damages.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 rocked off the coast of Yesilyurt in the Malatya province of Türkiye, the Turkish Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) said, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 7 km at local time 20:48.
Underground tremors were also felt in the surrounding areas.
