Rome - APA. Centre-right People of Freedom party headed by Silvio Berlusconi has won the early parliamentary elections in Italy. APA reports that Italian Interior Ministry publicized early results of the lections. According to the early results, Silvio Berlusconi’s party has taken 47.1 percent of the vote in the Senate and 45.2 percent of the vote in the lower house. His main rival Walter Veltroni’s Democratic Party has won 37.9 percent and 39.1 percent of the votes respectively. Walter Veltroni congratulated his rival on his victory. After the victory of centre-right party is officialized, Silvio Berlusconi will head the Italian Government for the third term. Prior to this, 72-year-old Silvio Berlusconi headed the Italian Government in 1994 and 2001-2006. “Fininvest” holding headed by the richest person of Italy unites 150 companies.
Silvio Berlusconi is at the same time President of “Milan” football club. According to the “Forbes”, former and future Prime Minister of Italy is one of the 25 richest persons of the world.
