Lavrov: Russia is ready to take all measures to protect the Union State

Russia will help Belarus in case of external aggression, said Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Oreanda-News reports.

"We are ready to take the full range of measures stipulated by the treaty to ensure the security of our ally and, of course, the security of the Union State," he said at the 12th Embassy round table at the Diplomatic Academy.

The diplomat called the boorish words of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who demanded to "restore order" in Belarus. He added that they are trying to draw Minsk directly into the conflict by expanding the geography of hostilities.
