British PM to sign Scot referendum deal

Baku-APA. British Prime Minister David Cameron has confirmed he will possibly sign a treaty in the coming days with Scottish First Mnister Alex Salmond to set up an independence referendum in Scotland, APA reports quoting Press TV.

The nearly completed deal decided by England’s Westminster, will allow the Scottish parliament to organize a single “yes or no” question referendum, asking whether the Scottish voters want to remain as a UK state or not.

Addressing the 2012 Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham, Cameron said he expected to see Salmond on October 15 claiming that there was nothing “more important than saving our United Kingdom”.

This comes after Cameron recently pushed for an early Scottish referendum that critics suggested was a devious move against independence, as the Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP) requires more time to gain the needed amount of yes votes, which polls suggest are building up gradually.

Cameron also recently stressed that he will make a great effort to campaign against the Scottish independence, saying, "Let’s say it, we’re better together and we’ll rise together, and let us fight that referendum with everything we’ve got."
