Parliamentary Elections in Georgia: Opposition to gather the center of Tbilisi after the voting process ends

He reported that no serious violations were observed during the voting process. But few violations were observed in Kvemo-Kartli and Kakhetia.

Central Election Commission of Georgia declared at 15:00 by local time that 45 % of electors participated in the voting. The highest activity was observed in Kvemo-Kartli.

The main election block of opposition, the “Georgian dream” called on electors to gather on the “Freedom Square” in Tbilisi at 20:00 by local time. The opposition is installing big monitors for the results of the exit-poll. The leader of the “Georgian dream” said that the block will gain 2/3 of seats in the parliament if the elections be democratic: “We will win. In case of democratic elections no representative of the leading Unique National Movement Party of Saakashvilli can gain a seat in the parliament”.

Aster casting votes in Tbilisi Mikheil Saakashvilli visited Kutaisi, Khashuri and other regions of the country.

The UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs has addressed its citizens living in Georgia. The UK urges its citizens not to go to overcrowded places and informs that the satiation in the country might be tense.

US Embassy in Georgia called on Georgian people to be patient and wait for the results.
