No Decision On Grupa Lotos Privatization Before 2012-Polish PM

Baku-APA. The Polish government won’t decide until 2012 whether to sell the majority stake of Poland’s second-largest oil refiner Grupa Lotos SA (LTS.WA), Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told a press conference Tuesday, APA reports quoting The Wall Street Journal.
In October, the Polish government initiated the sale of its 53.19% stake in the company and said it wanted to sell its entire stake to a strategic investor.
Grupa Lotos was important for Poland’s energy security and offers for the majority stake will be analyzed with that in mind, Tusk said.
Poland holds no prejudices against Russian investors and they are free to make bids in the Grupa Lotos tender, but Russia can’t count on any privileges when making investment offers in Poland, he also said.
Russian energy firms are interested in the privatization of Grupa Lotos, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Monday. Tusk met Medvedev on Monday.
