Referring to the report of the European Union on Turkey Davutoglu said that the European Commission published its report. This process is repeated since 1998. Today, Turkey in many areas has made significant progress, but at the same time there are things that need to be clarified.

He stressed that the report had been positively evaluate the implementation of changes in the Turkish Constitution. "Our goal is to provide the country’s highest level of democracy. We are open to all suggestions and willing to answer any calls", said Davutoglu.

According to him, Turkey will continue to respect the basic values of the Council of Europe. Report of the Commission reflects the reality and the current situation. At the same time the Turkish government intends to undertake work in accordance with the expiring of the report results.

"But that does not mean that in Turkey such concepts as democracy, freedom of speech, human rights have no legitimate basis. We simply want to foster even more progress in this direction and we will achieve this goal", - Turkish FM said.
