Several killed in hospital shooting in LÃ¶rrach, Germany

Baku - APA. A woman armed with a gun fired widely at people in an apartment and then in a nearby hospital in German southwestern city of Loerrach on Sunday’s early evening, ending up with at least four killed, including the shooter herself, and four seriously wounded, police said, APA reports.
Police said that they arrived at the St. Elisabeth hospital of Loerrach, a city close to the French and Swiss border, at around 6: 15 p.m. local time, less than ten minutes after the shooting. The woman probably held an automatic weapon and kept shooting in the hospital. One male nurse, were shot dead. An off-duty policeman, who happened to be in the hospital, was seriously injured on his knee.Before the shooting in hospital, witnesses said they heard gunshots and an explosion in an apartment next to the hospital. Firefighters, who were called to the scene as the apartment were on fire, saw the armed woman run out of the building, rush into the hospital and begin shooting widely, police said.One middle-aged man and a little girl were found dead in the apartment, which were seemingly killed by gunfire, a police spokesman confirmed. Initial reports said the killed in the explosion were a woman and a child.Police said the woman with a gun was finally shot dead by officers. She rampageously opened fire at police when they moved close to the hospital.
