Baku-APA. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’ s visit to Poland is planned to take place before the end of this year, Russia’s new ambassador to Poland Alexander Alekseyev told a press conference on Tuesday, APA reports quoting news.xinhuanet.com website.
Medvedev has been invited to Poland by Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, the ambassador was quoted as saying by the PAP news agency.
"This visit is planned to take place before the end of this year," the Russian ambassador said. "Currently the embassy focuses on filling the visit with content."
This will be a special visit given the "beginning of a new chapter in relations between Moscow and Warsaw," the Russian ambassador noted.
At the beginning of September, Poland’s Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that a package of agreements will be prepared to be signed in the presence of Poland’s and Russian’s presidents.
