Kemal Kilicdaroglu: â€œWe will continue to struggleâ€

Baku â€“ APA. Turkish opposition leader, chairman of the Republican People Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu said they respected the referendum results, but considered it as a result of the governmentâ€™s pressure. Kilcdaroglu said Turkey couldnâ€™t go on with a decision, which satisfied only one side. â€œWe have to take lessons from this result and not to forget that there was no condition for free expression of the peopleâ€™s will. The authorities couldnâ€™t take the examination of democracy. AKP intends to establish a court system completely linked with itself. CHP will continue its struggle. 42 percent is not enough, but it is good resultâ€.

Kilicdaroglu explained why he couldnâ€™t vote in the referendum. â€œI was registered in Istanbul, but after changing home address my name was removed from the voters list and I was not informed about that. I apologize to party members and supporters because it was my mistake as wellâ€.

CHP leaders connected the oppositionâ€™s defeat in the referendum with that a part of the Nationalist Movement Partyâ€™s (MHP) electorate voted for the Constitutional amendments and some people couldnâ€™t vote because they were in holiday.
