Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. In January-April 2016 the production and services in the sector of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam made AZN 630.2 mln, down 6.2% by contrast to a year earlier.
Output in the water supply, waste treatment and processing sector dropped 1.6% to AZN 72.0 mln.
January-April 2016 Azerbaijan produced 7,691.8 mln kWh of energy, down 7.7% in comparison with 2015.
Of this, 7,351.3 kWh makes heating power which is 7.6% lower than previous year.
575.2 kWh is water power production, 38.2% over against 2015.
Wind power stations produced 5.8 kWh of energy, up 2.1 times from previous year. Solar power production increased 21.6 times to 15.2 kWh.
At the same time, Azerbaijan produced 6,755.1 kWh of heating energy in the reporting period, down 10.3% b contrast to a year earlier.
