In Europe, on October 29, gas prices fell – the price of December futures fell by almost 10% and reached $ 850 per thousand cubic meters, APA reports citing Global Happenings.
This is evidenced by the data of the ICE Futures exchange.
The value of December gas futures on the Dutch TTF index, the most liquid European hub, at the opening of the trading session on Friday just exceeded $ 930. But during the day it gradually decreased, already at 11:11 it dropped to the minimum for the day of $ 840.5. Since then, the price of gas in Europe has been trading in the region of $ 840-850.
On the previous banking day, by the close of trading, the cost of December futures was $ 914 per thousand cubic meters, and the estimated price slightly exceeded $ 935.
Note that spot prices are also declining. On the spot TTF under a day-ahead contract as early as October 28, the price was almost $ 1,020 per thousand cubic meters, and on October 29 it had already decreased by 10%, to $ 900.
