Visa requirements for Russian citizens traveling to European Union countries are being tightened, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
Russian citizens will be issued LTV (Limited Territorial Validity) visas instead of standard Schengen visas, allowing tourists to enter only certain countries. For example, an Italian visa will not permit entry into France, even within the Schengen Area. If these restrictions are introduced, traveling within Europe will become significantly more difficult for Russian citizens.
The initiative will be discussed in Brussels on October 14.
