Significant positive growth was recorded in the volume of cargo transported by dry cargo vessels operated by ASCO, one of the companies of AZCON Holding, in January–September 2026 compared to the same period last year, ASCO told APA-Economics.
While 1,019,065 tons of cargo were transported by dry cargo vessels in nine months of 2025, this figure increased by 39% to 1,415,187 tons in the corresponding period of 2026.
This upward trend in overall indicators was also observed last month. Thus, 163,090 tons of cargo were transported in September this year, which is 19,975 tons, or 14%, more than the 143,115 tons recorded in the corresponding month last year.
A noticeable increase was also recorded in transit transportation by dry cargo vessels. In January–September 2026, the volume of transit cargo amounted to 1,014,615 tons. In the same period last year, this figure stood at 476,192 tons. Thus, the volume of transit transportation increased by 538,423 tons, or 113%.
