"To date, more than 45 billion cubic meters of gas have been supplied to Europe via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP)," the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov said in a post on X platform, APA-Economics reports.
"We discussed with TAP's Executive Director Luca Schieppati the strategic role of the Southern Gas Corridor in ensuring cost-effective, reliable, and sustainable energy supplies, the expansion of the TAP pipeline, and the reduction of methane emissions. So far, over 45 billion cubic meters of gas have been supplied to Europe through TAP," the post noted.
It should be noted that the transfer of Azerbaijani gas to Europe through TAP began on December 31, 2020.
