Receiving Iraqi Turkmen Front President Ershad Salehi, Davudoglu commented on the clash on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.
Davutoglu noted that he had telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov adding that not reaching settlement over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict causes this kind of provocation. Davutoglu also stressed that Turkey always defended the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, stressing that the issue should be resolved as soon as possible.
“I express my condolences on behalf of our people and state for Azerbaijani soldiers. We feel the pain of 8 our brothers in our hearts," he said.
