Palestinian President congratulates Azerbaijani President on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Baku-APA. “On the auspicious occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I wish to extend to Your Excellency and to the Government and brotherly people of Azerbaijan our warmest fraternal greetings and good wishes,” reads the letter addressed by Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, APA reports.

Mahmud Abbas also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President: “I take this opportunity to convey to Your Excellency deep appreciation for your strong support and solidarity in our fight for freedom, self-determination and ending the occupation of our lands and the creation of a Palestinian state.”

Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kucma, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Yong-nam, TURKPA Secretary General Jandos Asanov, Regional Governor of Astrakhan (RF) Aleksandr Jilkin, and Commissioner for Human Rights of Moldova Aurelia Grigoriu also congratulated Azerbaijani President on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan
