CEC told APA that a special statement will be issued in this regard.
On October 8, social networks posted an application developed by Happy Baku LLC to get data issued on CEC’s website via smartphone devices. The application contained the results of the elections on a constituency.
In its statement on this fact, CEC noted that it was related with testing of application by the co-executor.
The statement says that the company held interim tests in one constituency (Hajigabul-Kurdemir constituency #58) to ensure precise, qualitative and proper use of the software program and forgot to inform users about testing of the program: “As the program was approved by “Apple” company, the names of candidates participated in the presidential elections on October 9, statistical information of the previous elections, summarized results of various opinion polls conducted in the presidential elections this year were used in the software module. Properly, it hadn’t been adopted unanimously by the users and gave another argument to the persons who intended to cast a shadow on the image of the elections.
"Happy Baku" company expressed deep regret on what happened and stated that the information posted on the program has nothing to do with this year's elections and it was only used for verification of the system.
