Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Tehran, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and exchanged views.
Note that Pashinyan arrived in Tehran this morning to attend the farewell ceremony for Iran's former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
Note that Ali Khamenei’s farewell ceremony will be held on July 4-5 at the Mosalla complex in Tehran, after which the body will be sent to the city of Qom.
After the farewell ceremony in Qom, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei will be buried in Mashhad on July 9 in accordance with his will.
Recall that Sayyid Ali Khamenei was killed together with close family members during a joint US-Israeli attack on Tehran on February 28.
Later, his son Mojtaba Khamenei was elected to replace him.
It should be added that the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Hakim Elahi, announced that Mojtaba Khamenei will not attend his father’s funeral.
He explained this on security grounds.
