Bahar Muradova: “Social explosion or tension is not expected in Azerbaijan”

Baku. Etibar Mammadov - APA. “Be sure that the government knows very well what to do and has repeatedly proved it. Attempts were made to frighten people about possible social explosion or tension when the prices were increased. But they were not justified,” vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova told journalists while commenting on the views that the rise of petrol price will result in social explosion in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

She said Azerbaijan is a dynamically developing country, Azerbaijan’s economy is a part of the global economy.

“In this respect it is necessary to take into account ongoing processes in the world. We are an open state,” she said.

Bahar Muradova said the Azerbaijani government has taken steps to prevent possible processes after the price rise, ensure the interests of the needy people.

“I believe in our government and want to assure every Azerbaijani that they should not worry. Social explosion or tension is not expected. The Azerbaijani government will take serous steps to solve the problems of needy people,” she said.
