A general meeting of the Organization of War, Labor and Armed Forces Veterans of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held, APA reports.
Colonel Jalil Khalilov, the Deputy Chairman of the Organization announced the meeting open.
Colonel Jalil Khalilov brought attention to the historical services of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, touched upon the exceptional importance of the political course he left in terms of the progress of Azerbaijan as he delivered speech. Jalil Khalilov noted that National Leader, who paid special attention to citizens from vulnerable groups, had always showed a caring approach to veterans. Stating that the state care for veterans has been carried on by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the deputy chairman emphasized that approach towards veterans is an example for everyone.
Ms. Fatma Sattarova, the Chairwoman of the Organization of War, Labor and Armed Forces Veterans of the Republic of Azerbaijan, veteran of World War II and labor, touched upon the glorious victory of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev during the Patriotic War, spoke about the historical importance of this victory as she delivered speech during the event.
The Organization of War, Labor and Armed Forces Veterans of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted a Declaration of support for President Ilham Aliyev at the end of the discussions.
