Recently, Azerbaijan’s Finance Ministry has warned the NGOs and political parties.
‘The rules on the form, content and submission of the annual financial report by non-governmental organisations' was approved under the decision of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers dated November 21, 2011.
According to the rule, annual financial reports of non-governmental organizations must be submitted to the Ministry after the end of the reporting period, no later than April 1 of the following year.
Article 247-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences envisages administrative penalties for failure to present financial reports.
