Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. “At times, especially during the election campaigns, OSCE enhances contacts with political parties. I think this is positive. YAP in not beyond these contacts and we participate in OSCE projects,” said deputy chairman and executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov while commenting on the proposal of head of OSCE Office in Baku Koray Targay on organizing dialogue among the political parties ahead of the elections, APA reports.
According to him, dialogue between YAP and the other political parties always continues. “But I don’t think that YAP and other political parties should hold dialogues only within the OSCE terms. When necessary, YAP doesn’t avoid holding dialogue or exchanging views with other political parties on any topic. But the main issue making Azerbaijani citizens think is not the dialogue of political parties. This issue may be the last among 20-30 issues making people think. I do not want to say what is behind OSCE’s special sensitiveness in this issue. At the same time I do not want to play down this proposal. But I want to note that the decisive issue for YAP ahead of the election campaign is to meet with voters.”
