At a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan held today, the issue of confirming the nomination of Namizad Safarov Heydar, whose candidacy was nominated by himself, was discussed, according to the Secretary of the Commission Arifa Mukhtarova, APA reports.
After the discussions, the issue of approving the nomination of Namizad Safarov Heydar, whose candidacy was nominated by himself, was put to a vote and accepted.
With this, the number of persons whose candidacy for the presidency has been approved has reached 16.
Recall that Ilham Aliyev's candidacy for the presidency was registered at the CEC meeting held on December 30.
Note that on February 7, 2024, extraordinary presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan.
