To him, law on television and radio broadcasting envisages that Azerbaijani national television and radio resources can be used by citizens in the country. Usage of recourses by foreign states is against law. Hasanov added that it did not mean to stop activity of radio stations in Azerbaijan.
“There are other ways for broadcasting. We have mutual broadcasting experience with Turkey basing on intergovernmental contract. There can be such kind of measures. The Council aims to restore legislation in this field,” he stressed.
Hasanov took stance on establishment of Media Support Fund. Hasanov stressed that proposals received by President’s Office on establishment of the Fund had been assessed. All versions in connection with establishment of the Fund are ready.
“After the return of President Ilham Aliyev from a short-term leave, he will be informed about it and Media Support Fund will be established”, he added.
