Democratic Election Center pauses work

Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. The meeting of Democratic Election Center has been held today. Chairman of Open Society Party Yagub Abbasov told APA that the work of the center had been paused till the end of the election process.
“Three members of Democratic Election Center put forward their candidacy for presidency. Some decided not to participate in the elections,†he said.
Abbasov said the participants of the meeting underlined the necessity of establishing opposition’s cooperation in broader format.
Democratic Election Center also took a stance on the recent processes in the South Caucasus. The center recognized Georgia’s territorial integrity. Socio-political processes in the country were also discussed at the meeting.
