Democratic Azerbaijan World Party passes decision on supporting Ilham Aliyevâ€™s candidacy

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Democratic Azerbaijan World Party has today held the 3rd congress, APA reports. Chairman of the party Mammad Alizadeh said 650 congress representatives had been elected from the conferences of regional organizations, 644 of them were present. Chairmanship and number commissions were set up and the agenda was confirmed at the congress.
The agenda included reports of the chairmen of the party and Central Inspection Commission, election of the partyâ€™s chairman, composition of Central Inspection Commission, annexes to the partyâ€™s Statute and nomination of Ilham Aliyev in the presidential elections on October 15. Chairman of Democratic Azerbaijan World Party Mammad Alizadeh said that organizational activities had been reinforced and the number of the party members increased. Speaking about the political course of Democratic Azerbaijan World Party Mammad Alizadeh said they attached great importance to the national consciousness and national sense and followed the way of Heydar Aliyev.
He also said that civil society had been established in the country. Speaking about Azerbaijanâ€™s economic policy Mammad Alizadeh underlined that the country was among the leaders for its development rate. But he also mentioned some problems.
â€œOur party is not fully satisfied with the present condition of the population, the officials heading the countryâ€™s economy sometimes make mistakes and it damages living conditions of people,â€ he said.
At the end of his speech Mammad Alizadeh offered to support Ilham Aliyevâ€™s candidacy in the presidential elections. Following the speech of the chairman of Democratic Azerbaijan World Party, chairman and members of the party were elected. Mammad Alizadeh was reelected chairman of Democratic Azerbaijan World Party. Members of the congress unanimously voted for supporting Ilham Aliyevâ€™s candidacy.
