Garayev said the President appointed five advisers on the ethnic issues and he is one of them. Garayev said the appointment was unexpected for him. He said the President issued the order on May 18. Garayev said he would meet with President Saakashvili in the next few days.
Mubariz Garayev was born on May 15, 1970 in Tblisi. He graduated from the School of Law of St-Petersburg University. He led the non-governmental organization – Association of the Authoritative Protection of Land Owners until his appointment to the office of adviser. He is fluent in Azeri, Georgian and Russian.
