Deputy Chairman of YAP meets with member of French National Assembly

Baku. Elnur Mammadli-APA. Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov met with member of French National assembly Thierry Mariani, the Partyâ€™s Press Service told APA that Ali Ahmadov gave information about the pre-election situation in the country, YAPâ€™s preparation for the elections, position of the ruling party on the process of negotiations on the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Ali Ahmadov underlined that 2008 presidential elections would be democratic, transparent and in line with western standards and said there was no doubt that YAPâ€™s candidate Ilham Aliyev would be supported by the majority of the people. Thierry Mariani said he got acquainted with the pre-election situation and public opinion in Azerbaijan and expressed his confidence that Ilham Aliyev would win the elections.
