The program covers five years, but can be prolonged at the request of the sides in future. According to the agreement, master’s degree holders will study in the US within the framework of Fulbright Program. It is not yet known how many students will be sent to the United States within the framework of this program. Special commission will be established to choose the students. After the signing ceremony Goli Ameri said that Fulbright Program offers equal rights to everybody. Education Minister Misir Mardanov said that about 4000 Azerbaijanis studied in the US after Azerbaijan gained its independence.
Azerbaijani pupils and students are sent to the US within the framework of Muskie, Junior Public and Upgrade programs, as well as within the framework of the state program.
