I welcome Ashgabat, Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarqand, Almati, Bishkek, Levkosha, Ankara and Kerkuk,” Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the 11th Friendship, Brotherhood, and Cooperation Congress of Turkic States and Communities, APA reports.
The minister noted that historical kinship of Turkic states provides great opportunities for these states at present.
“Historical events did not allow using these relations. Though there were borders among us, these problems have been removed,” he said.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said other Turkic states and communities face serious problems.
“Our Turkmen brothers in Iraq are in bad conditions. We are sorry about the injustice against Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Injustice in the Balkans and in the region still continues. There is only one way out of these problems, that is, to achieve unity,” he said.
Noting that economic factor is of great importance in strengthening relations among Turkic states Recep Tayyip Erdogan said serious projects are being implemented in this field.
“Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines, construction of Baku-Akhalkalak-Kars railway are the signs of the relations uniting us. These projects also economically unite Northern and Southern, Eastern and Western countries,” he said,
Turkish Prime Minister put forward concrete proposals on strengthening the unity among Turkic states.
“Common Turkic language should first of all be formed. It is also very important to write common Turkic history and to teach it at schools. These activities will play great role in uniting Turkic communities,” he said. /APA/
