1m signatures collected for recognition of Khogali tragedy as genocide

Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA) has collected 1m signatures for recognition of Khogali tragedy as genocide so far, the leadership of the organization stated, APA reports.
ACSDA vice-president Veli Alibeyov noted that the signatures have been collected from all regions of Azerbaijan. The project was started in early 2006. The vice-president said that the process will continue. He said that the signatures will be submitted to the Parliament. Then, the organization will appeal to the parliament of the other countries on behalf of citizens. The appeal to the Azerbaijani parliament was approved. The organization requested the parliament to recognize the tragedy as an act of genocide officially. /APA/
