European Court of Human Rights made a decision on Serdar Jalaloglu’s claim. Serdar Jalaoglu’s lawyer Fuad Agayev told the APA that he complained of violation of the 3rd article (inhuman treatment while being detained) of the European Convention on Human Rights and Freedoms. According to the decision of the European Court Serdar Jalaloglu should be paid EUR10 000 for non-pecuniary damage and EUR1817 for the expenses.
Serdar Jalaoglu considers the decision just. He said he will spend the compensation on his treatment and publication of his new book.
In his appeal to the European Court Serdar Jalaloglu demanded the Azerbaijani government to pay EUR400 00 for non-pecuniary damage. /APA/
