President Ilham Aliyev receives foreign delegates attending the 20th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee celebrations â€“ PHOTOSESSION

Baku-APA. President Ilham Aliyev has today received foreign delegates who arrived here to attend celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee.
The Head of State pointed out that the country has gained substantial experience in hosting international events such as a meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committee, seminars, conferences as well as world cups including the U-17 world women`s football championship.
He expressed assurance that foreign delegates would be well informed about sport infrastructure, sports development and international achievements of Azerbaijan.
For his part, President of the Polish Olympic Committee Andrzej KraÅ›nicki pointed out that celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee is an important event for not only Azerbaijan but also the whole international Olympic movement. He wished every success to Azerbaijani athletes.
Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) secretary-general Dr Mohammad S. Gazdar offered Federation`s President, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz`s greetings to President Ilham Aliyev. Gazdar Mohammad Saleh said he had witnessed huge development over the past 5 years in Azerbaijan. He recalled his meeting with the Azerbaijani Leader at the London Olympics.
Head of the Slovenian Olympic Committee Janez Kocijancic pointed out that Azerbaijan`s achievements in the Olympic Games is the contribution to development of sports in Europe.
